3 Haiku

RAIN

I decided, a few weeks ago, to try my hand at writing Haiku. We’d just had a very rainy, wet winter and so I began with 3 about rain.

Gentle rain, sweet rain.
Pitter-patter on the leaves
Helps the flowers grow.

The rain hammers down.
It drenches the sodden ground.
Rivers overflow.

Rainbow in the sky.
The sunshine split by raindrops.
Glorious colour.
