Today is Coronation Day. Here’s Haiku.
We have a new king.
Coronation is today.
A new era begins.
And a limerick.
Today my mobile did ring.
When I answered, it was the king.
He said, with a frown,
‘I’ve lost the crown.
A nice hat, instead, will you bring?’
Will you be watching the Coronation, or will you go out somewhere and ignore it?
I might watch a bit, but won’t be watching everything.
Maybe I can get some writing done. I got done none yesterday!
Let us know your thoughts in the comments. I will be interested to know the consensus of people, especially those abroad.
I didn’t watch, Viv, and I’m afraid I didn’t give it much thought. It’s a romantic tradition, but I’m glad we don’t have a king here in the US. So much drama. King Donald was close enough!

Will you get King Donald back, I ask myself.
I admit, I did watch some of it, but not all.
Of course, the British monarch has no power, really. He’s mainly a figurehead.

I doubt King Donald will rule again. I’d have to leave the country.

I heard on the BBC news this morning that he’s ahead in the poles, despite his court problems. đą
Look forward to welcoming you to the UK!đ

Ha ha ha ha. I don’t think he has a chance, but you never know with how weird things are over here. I’m afraid that Canada would be our first choice as it’s within driving distance to the grandkids. đ

I understand about the grandkids. We considered moving permanently to France as we had a property there, but decided against it because of the grandkids.

Yup. We’re hanging in with the craziness here as long as we can.

Good luck. Crazy here on this side of the pond, too. In fact, I think the whole world has gone mad.

That’s a really scary thought.

I’m sure King Charles would love any hat you will offer him! Ha, ha, ha. This is an exciting time for all my friends in Old Blighty, so enjoy. It’s a once in a lifetime experience for most unless you live a long, long time!
